Custom statuses for Applications

I love the application tracker, but I'd like to add my own columns, such as "Backlog" before "Applied", to indicate that I have interest in these companies but have not yet applied, and one between "Applied" and "Screen" which is "Acknowledged" or "Pre-Screen", representing that I received an email from that company saying they got my application but have not yet gotten to the technical screening part.
